I highly recommend Apex Steel Structures. I just recently purchased a 30x70 with a 12 foot lean-to and couldn’t be happier. Will Kennedy in sales was amazing. Fitting my needs to this building and answering every question that I could think of. He even called periodically to check on the excavation process to make sure everything stayed on schedule for the delivery and set-up. The install crew was outstanding as well. Making sure I was pleased with every aspect of the building upon final completion. If you’re trying to decide on a company to use, decide no more, you won’t be sorry.
Apex Company sold me drip stop insulation, which they don't carry. There was no mention of that when confirming my order and taking my deposit.
So then two weeks later at the time of scheduling, Elite carports informed me they don't carry dripstop and canceled my install date on a Wednesday. Apex eventually offered to swap me with double bubble, which I didn't want but had no choice. The very next day, Thursday, I called to confirm the schedule, but they already filled my spot.
This caused the installers to cancel my install appointment and now are telling me it will be 5-6 weeks before they will have a "load" coming to Wake Forest meaning I have to wait until other customers slabs are poured and cured before they will send installers to my 36X32 building. It's not a relatively small build.
If your area doesn't have multiple customers ready, be ready for a long wait. In spite that the salesperson confirmed over and over, it would be less than 4 weeks. Liars.
These people don't care about serving the customer as once they have your deposit money and have you over a "barrell" if you cancel.
After speaking with other builders, I found I could have been installed easily by now. Due to the lack of communication and frustration, I am seeking a refund from my CC company to reverse the deposit and buy elsewhere simply due to the egregious frustration Apex Steele and Elite Carports has put me through. Loss of money is better than this.
I'm very sorry I chose Apex to begin with. Be ready for a 2 month wait once you send the pictures of your slab.
It starts with the salesman Bob who was great! The scheduling not so good took way longer than was told but none the less they had floods we had lots of snow and freezing temps so I understand why it took so long in my case! The building crew was the best I could ask for they were great! I bought them lunch some drinks they were just very happy and hard working crew. I will have them do my next project for sure!
