I am very pleased with the steel building I purchased from Big Buildings Direct. Adam was my sales associate that helped design and walk me through the building process. Also when I say helped design Adam went above and beyond working with me till we designed my perfect building. Anytime I had questions and I called Adam if he cannot take my phone call right then it was returned very quickly. The installation team assigned to the delivery and construction on my steel building, was very professional and hard working. The construction of the building was extremely fast due to the proficiency of these installers. I really enjoyed watching the construction of the building. I would like to thank Adam again and all the employees at Big buildings direct that called following up with me before during, and after the construction of my building. I would give Adam and his installation team more than five stars if I could. If you’re looking for a quality steel building, I highly recommend this company.
42 x40 Couldn't be happier with the entire process. Parker ( my sales guy) took all the stress out of the process and helped me make decisions on the design. His communication was above expectations. Sent me renderings of my building. Assisted me with concrete details and the entire process from start to finish. The installers were prompt and very professional. They did a fantastic job. It was very refreshing to not have to watch over them as they knew what they were doing. I also had a call and great convesation with the owner once it was all done to assure I was pleased. Thank You Big buildings team!
My family sought out Big Buildings Direct to construct a 4 wall rectangular building with roof on our property in May of 2022 to include 4 windows, 2 entry-way doors, and a garage door. Proceeding the installation of the building, leaks were found throughout the building from the roof to the windows and more. Multiple attempts were made to contact the company to assess and repair these leaks, and we were initially told after reaching the customer service representative that leaks were normal and expected with these buildings. Not accepting this as an answer, we insisted upon repair of this poor building craftsmanship. The building repairers were schedule to come out but then would not show up, and we would have to call to reschedule. Then once the building repairers finally arrived, they were non-English speaking and were not able to communicate efficiently to address the concerns. On three different occasions, we repeated this same process of denial of the problem being their responsibility, battling to get them to show up as scheduled, and sending a crew that was ineffective at communication. With heightened frustrations and voiced concerns about the repairs still not resolving the leaks, an agreement was made with the companies customer service representative to allow for an outside itemized quote to be obtain to address and fix the leak repairs. Since we live in an extremely rural area, it took time to obtain these quotes and find other companies/ contractors agreeable to the commute to our property. Lowe’s came out to provide a quote to repair the leaking windows, and their representative indicated that no seals were ever placed within the frame of the windows therefore leading to the chronic issues with leaking. A separate roofing contractor also had to come out to quote the leaking roof, and determined that the builders attempted to bolt a screw in during instillation then withdrew the screw to place it next to it, and left the open area unplugged. It is now September 2023, and after a lot of back and forth communication, quotes have been provided to the company in the amount of $2684 to fix what was installed incorrectly from the beginning. The customer service representative emailed back stating that they were only agreeable to cover $250 of the repair cost. They have taken advantage of my mother, who is recovering from cancer, and forced me and my brother to take time away from caring for our veteran father who is actively losing his battle with cancer. This building was supposed to help aid us with additional space so we could accommodate the need for round the clock care within the main home. We have now had to make other arrangements since the building is a hazard and will not store anything without damage due to the active leaks. I would NOT recommend Big Building Direct since they were not able to properly build a building nor were they able to resolve the outstanding issue with leaks, and they did not follow through with covering the cost of those repairs since they were unable to do so themselves.
This is the first one star ever left. But seriously, if time is of an essence, why a run around. I was taught English not text and emails. Not a good experience. If this is a franchise why send me all the way down the coast and not respond. Hope others have a better experience. Long email talking expertise, link for permits that would get me fined and not even one verbal response. Moving on, a high tech ghost.
