Brass Maiden

Specializing in custom metal fabrication, Brass Maiden creates handcrafted iron, brass, and steel pieces for residential and commercial projects. Based at 2016 Richmond Ave., Houston, TX 77098, USA, the shop produces solid‑cast‑iron beds that assemble with a tongue‑and‑groove system—eliminating the need for nuts and bolts and keeping the frame stable over time. Finishes range from gunmetal and hand‑painted to distressed and solid colors, all oven‑baked for low‑maintenance use. The business also offers made‑to‑order metal work such as railings, stairways, tables, racks, drapery rods, and reproductions of vintage architectural components. Owner‑designer Daphne Scarbrough has been designing, fabricating, and installing these pieces in Houston since 1982, emphasizing quality construction and historic detail.
