My wife and I were going to hire Nate the Son of this company to build us a custom home. We got an uneasy feeling so we ended up not proceeding forward. So, we just bought a house instead.

Moving forward, we are in our new home and I want a steel shed built to which Nate says he can do it. Gave me a price of $3500 for a 14x16’ with 11’ walls and barn door. Sent him $1,000 via Venmo instead of Zelle as he preferred. Did this incase there was an issue with him falling through we could get our money back through the credit card. Zelle you can’t.

Nate agreed to get the shed built before Thanksgiving 2024. He wanted to do it on a weekend not during the week. (Strange) but okay I played along. He said he could actually start that weekend just submit deposit.

1st weekend he was supposed to be out no call no show. I texted/called - crickets. After that weekend passed he said that he’s been sick and so has his wife and child. He hopes to come this following weekend.

2nd weekend- crickets- no communication on his part very frustrating for me…

3rd weekend- claims he blew out his tires on some land etc. can’t come out then hopefully in a few days- crickets…

4th week tells me his truck that pulls his air brake trailer turbo blew. He’s going to try to get it up and rolling or get his other truck out.

Next says his kid is sick again and hasn’t slept in days.

I finally have had enough of the excuses to why this hasn’t been done. He owns a business. You have employees. I highly doubt you didn’t conduct business for a month because of all these issues.

Illinois home remodeling and repair act - wasn’t followed by Nate or his company..

Last hope I asked Nate to send me pictures that this Shed was prebuilt as he claimed it was. Never got pictures.

I ended up calling my card company and getting my money back. They made attempts to reach Nate and closed it in our favor. We have all the messages with bs excuses from him if he tries to reopen and dispute this.

I’m a former contractor and never jerked customers around like this. I retired early in life to focus on my health and family. Became suddenly disabled, but have been managing.

I ended up building a shed myself. Didn’t want to go through this process again as I needed storage 4 weeks ago.

I thought we were friends but apparently not. Friends don’t screw friends.
