Chester Labus Custom Homes

With nearly four decades of hands‑on experience, Chester Labus Custom Homes has built a portfolio of more than forty residential projects, collaborating with architects such as Lucian Hood, Kurt Eichler and Patton W. Brooks. Founded shortly after Chester Labus moved to Houston in the early 1980s, the firm carries forward a craftsman’s focus on detail, a principle he learned from his father and applies daily on the job site.

The company guides clients through every phase of a custom‑home build. Initial consultations explore the homeowner’s vision, required design services, and budget considerations. If a lot has already been identified, Chester Labus evaluates its suitability for the intended project; otherwise, the team assists in selecting a parcel that meets structural and zoning criteria. Design support includes referrals to professional architects and designers, supplemented by the builder’s own practical insights. Once plans and engineering are finalized, a comprehensive cost analysis is provided, outlining expected expenditures and helping keep the project on track.

By staying actively involved on‑site, the builder ensures that the “details, details, details” philosophy translates into precise construction work. Homeowners seeking a personalized building experience can rely on Chester
