I would be cautious about using this company. The owner recently claimed in a public response that the International Building Code (IBC) governs the construction of aircraft and naval vessels. This is fundamentally incorrect; the IBC (published by the ICC) applies strictly to land-based buildings and structures (see IBC Section 101.2).

Furthermore, the IBC is a "model code" and is not the law of the land until it is adopted and amended by a local Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ). Building strictly to the generic IBC without accounting for local municipal amendments—such as specific snow, wind, or seismic loads—is a recipe for failed inspections and structural risk.

A professional firm should understand that plans must be sealed by an engineer licensed in the specific state of the project to ensure local compliance. If this company does not provide state-specific engineering or displays this level of misunderstanding regarding building codes, I would suggest looking elsewhere.

I called in to ask a question and spoke with the CEO Rodger and he provide me with all of the information that I needed and also emailed me a manual just in case I had any other question. I was super impressed about the amount of time he spent to help me.

They sell and manufacture a product in AZ that will not be accepted by permitting in every county because they use an engineer in Ethiopia. This will not be disclosed to you until you pay a $3,000 non refundable deposit. After you pay thousands of dollars for structural engineering and other analysis and submit their plans to permitting; that’s when you’ll learn their product won’t be accepted. The owner knows this because he told me “this happens all the time”. So he knowingly and intentionally sells a product that might not pass permitting. Only then will he hire an AZ licensed engineer to review their plans in hopes it will pass. When I decided this was more time and money I was not willing to risk, he responded, “You don’t expect your money back, do you?” Yes, I did expect it back when you knowingly sell a product that won’t work.
