The order and initial purchase all went smoothly (or so i thought) my first mistake was the original order form. Let me be clear that i am aware this was my mistake. The roof on the order was horizontal. I can’t understand why it’s even an option, other than price. I missed it on the order form where it was indicated and the salesman didn’t mention it. I would have NEVER ordered a horizontal roof. Which leads to where the disappointment really begins.
During the install, the crew asked to remove a tree branch, hung barely over the site by 3 feet, when i came back out the tree was butchered (ending up having to take the entire tree down) my choice but what remained of the tree looked ridiculous as the entire left side was gone, the one branch. Now to today, or should i say March 29th. Noticed a leak and contacted your team for a warranty repair. After the scheduling department finally contacted me after 8 days from my initial contact, booked the appt for the 26th, i received a call yesterday stating that the crew would be here today, April 26th before 1:30 PM. While waiting for the appointment i stood my ladder up and took a look at the roof to see if there was anything obvious and i was SHOCKED. There’s a reason that a horizontal roof shouldn’t be used. If you look at attached photo 1 and Photo 2 you can see that the ridge rises at the end(s) and cause a significant amount of water to collect. If you look at photo 3, where the sheet overlaps, they used screws to attempt to hold the edge down, i can’t imagine that is the standard, and the screw head is on the inside angle thus preventing it from sealing properly. This isn’t just one, look at photo 4, every one along that seam is that way. Finally, on photo 5, this screw wasn’t even ran all the way down!!! These are just the things i could see from my ladder as i wasn’t going to get on the roof.
Finally, today’s appointment window came and went. I called and was told that the crew was running behind “it’s construction, these things happen Ha-ha”. It’s now 5:15pm and i just received a call from the crew saying they’ll be here in an hour and a half. So an appointment window of no later than 1:30 pm has now turned into 6:45 pm. I value my time and didn’t have the luxury of sitting here all day for no one to show up, yet. Sunset today is at 7:20pm so we will see if they’re gonna make it before sundown and i will be surprised if they do anything other than put a dollop of silicone on the screw head(s).
I am beyond disappointed.
