Hired Morton Buildings (Grafton ND Location) to build a 2400 SF building for us at the lake. Mike and Crew were great to work with (the installers). Jim in the office is a different story. Told me his guys were picky and the "attention to detail" was high on their standards prior to us hiring them. The interior sheet metal work was embarrassing to look at to say the least. Screw Holes Missed all over the place. Nails bent over, after being driven in half way above all of the overhead doors. Metal wrapping on garage door jams scratch all to heck. I asked one of the guys if this is the best work they do. They kind of laughed at me. We made a complaint to the head office out in Illinois. They sent up the corporate rep who is Tom Janke from the Moorhead MN office. He did nothing to resolve anything. They just wanted payment in full for the entire contract and wouldn't budge at all. Had to get another contractor in to finish the project the proper way. Overpriced building is all we received in the long run. They agreed for us to short pay the last invoice $6K. Had about $12K into fixing their mishaps. These guys want 80% downpayment on everything prior to showing up on the job. Jim in the office didn't visit the jobsite once prior to selling us the building package. He ordered a $7000 lift to help with the erection of the building and sent us an invoice over and above the contracted amount and expected us to pay it. Funny thing is Mike and the install crew didn't use it once during the project. Lift was way to heavy and couldn't be used on site. I wouldn't wish this on anyone. Do your research before using these guys.
