This one is hard to rate. Patriot seems to be a middleman for these buildings who, if my salesman is to be believed, selects from a pool of three manufacturers. In my case, it was Star Metal Buildings and Carports. Patriot, to my eyes, had very little to do with the actual building other than taking my money (the deposit, anyway... Star collected the balance) and sending a guy out here once to check out the build process.

Anyway, I ordered a 20x30 building. Seems to be of decent quality. The guys who installed it onto my slab were pretty quick, needing half a day and then most of a morning the next day to finish up. Pretty polite and efficient and I haven't noted any real problems with most of the install that I haven't been able to correct myself.

My main problem is the vertical supports for the lean-to on the rear of the building were about 2 feet short. Rather than calling Star and getting supports in the proper length, they just threw some cinder blocks I scavenged from my property underneath the main horizontal ground support. Their only solution was to tell me they could try to refund me whatever it was I paid for the lean -to. I called Patriot to see if they might have a solution for me, and I was given the runaround. So now I'm stuck with basically a sail on the back of my building because it's not anchored to anything. I'll be buying my own square tubing to rectify this myself, but I'm not thrilled. Add that to some clerical problems with the initial contract which added 3 weeks to my wait time and you got 2 stars. And that might be a touch generous.

Shortly after posting this review (6/28), the owner(s) contacted me and said Patriot would make it right, they'd submitted a repair order, and someone would be in touch the next day to schedule. Not a moment too soon, too, because Hurricane Beryl was due to arrive shortly and, since the lean-to was not properly secured, I was a bit concerned that I'd lose it and the back wall it was tied to (not to mention the potential damage to my house if a 20'x8' metal roof smashed into it).

Hurricane came and went, building still standing, lean-to still kinda there up in the air. Sent a message on 7/15 about the repairs not being scheduled. Owner Caleb expressed regret and confusion, stated the repairs has already been paid for, and that he'd get to the bottom of this.

8/7: lean-to still being held up by a couple cinder blocks. Not a peep from Patriot or Star Buildings. After a few months of this, I'm starting to suspect that I'm getting the ol' runaround. Will buy square tubing myself to fix. A+.

This was a great experience from start to finish with everyone involved interested in my needs. The building exceeded my expectations and the installation crew was awesome. I recommend Patriot Building 100%! And a huge thank you to everyone involved!
