Schutt Log Homes and Mill Works

A small, family‑owned operation, Schutt Log Homes and Mill Works builds on a tradition of crafting oak log cabins that can be assembled by the owner. Based at 46 NW 1821st Rd, Kingsville, MO 64061, USA, the company keeps its overhead low and passes those savings on to customers through comprehensive kit packages. Each cabin kit arrives in standard‑length lumber, with the final cuts made on site by the builder, and includes a step‑by‑step timber‑construction manual covering log layout, wall and roof assembly, window and door bucks, ridge beams, rafters, shiplap, second‑floor joists, stairs, railing and chamfering. The manuals deliberately omit foundation, plumbing, electrical and HVAC planning, giving buyers flexibility to design those systems to suit their preferences.

In addition to residential cabins, Schutt Log Homes and Mill Works offers a variety of oak barn kits—pole‑barn, colonial‑style timber‑frame, and custom‑design options. Standard offerings include a 40 × 60 ft oak horse barn for $44,800, a 20 × 30 ft oak
